Hello and welcome to the very first blog post on Oz Backdrops and Props!

To start with I would like to thank all of your for visiting our shiny new website, I know it was a long time coming!

This first blog post is going to be a little introduction to the brand and myself, and each week I will write about photography and backdrop related topics. Alrighty, here goes. My name is Anna, and I took over Oz Backdrops in December 2014, and am starting to expand the range into some props, hence the little addition to the business name. We are now based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, and we continue to ship all our products to every far-flung region of our lovely land down under.

Oz Backdrops and Props is an online business, however for those located in South East Queensland I do have over 100 samples which you are more than welcome to browse through, or perhaps we can have a chat over a coffee while we flip through the gorgeous designs!

Before taking over the business, I was a customer for several years. Since my first vinyl backdrop purchase, I have not looked back. The only problem with them is that I can never simply buy just one! The choices are never-ending, and I am running out of room in my house...oops!

We are Australia's only reseller of Swanky Prints backdrops, which gives you access to hundreds of exclusive designs that you won't find anywhere else.
We provide high quality heavy duty vinyl backdrops - don't expect to see any of the thin flimsy stuff here!
All backdrops are courier delivered rolled in a tube - we couldn't send them folded if we tried.

As I said earlier, the choices are endless. You can have single sided drops, reversible drops with your two favourite designs back to back, and all in one drops with a wall and floor designs printed on a single piece of vinyl. You can mix and match any design, creating your own combinations to suit your heart's desire.

There are a few different methods of hanging your backdrops, the most common being with a backdrop stand and clamps (both available in our store!). We can also add a pole pocket or grommets to your backdrop if you prefer to hang them with these, and I have even seen some photographers with wall-mounted contraptions that hold their vinyl. So whichever method you choose, we can provide a backdrop to suit your style.

Our backdrops can be used for so many different purposes. Obviously the most common being for photography - from newborn and cake smash sessions through to adult fashion shoots, as well as food and product photography. However we also custom design backdrops for events such as birthdays, engagements, and weddings! And another really fun excuse to buy a backdrop (like we need another one!) is as a wall feature. Yes, that's right! Who needs wallpaper when you can have a gorgeous design on a vinyl backdrop and fix it to your wall? That is one way to get some seriously jealous friends!
