Our Policies

Please note that we print backdrops in large batches, NOT per individual order, hence why there is an approximately 2-4 week turnaround time for backdrops to be printed and dispatched. This is flexible subject to how quickly the batch fills up and minor delays may occur at peak times. Please do not plan photo shoots based on our turnaround times as we cannot be held responsible for any delays that may occur.

Accidental Orders

Please note that "accidental" orders will not be cancelled or refunded. If you do not wish to order, please do not proceed to payment.
Our payment processors (ie. Paypal, Afterpay, etc) do not refund any of the merchant fees to us when we refund an order, therefore we are unable to refund accidental orders.

Shipping

We ship our backdrops worldwide, most regularly within Australia, New Zealand, Asia, United States and United Kingdom.
Within Australia we use a variety of couriers including but not limited to Couriers Please, TNT, and Fastway Couriers.
International orders are shipped with UPS.
All orders within United States are shipped with a variety of couriers including but not limited to USPS, UPS, and FedEx.
Yes we do ship to other countries! For international shipping enquiries to countries not listed above, please use the Contact Us page.

Australia Turnaround Times
For pre-order items, you can expect your order to be dispatched from us within approximately 2-4 weeks.
All in stock items will be dispatched same or next business day and are subject to courier's standard delivery timeframes.
Most east coast metro areas receive deliveries within a few days of dispatch, and west coast metro areas within about a week, however regional/remote areas will have longer transport times. You are welcome to check printing and transport times with us prior to purchasing.

Important Information

All sales are final. We are not able to cancel or alter orders once they have begun the printing process.

Please do not schedule photo shoots based on our turnaround times, as we cannot be held responsible for any delays that may occur.
We do not accept returns if your backdrop does not arrive in time for your photo shoot or event, as we do not guarantee delivery dates.

Orders will not be refunded due to printing or shipping delays or circumstances that are outside of our control.

Cancellations and refunds are at our discretion, and a cancellation fee may apply.

Our customers photos of backdrops in use displayed on our website are provided as examples only and we do not guarantee that you will get the exact same results. Lighting and editing techniques vary greatly and we provide images to help you visualise what can be achieved using backdrops.

We reserve the right to invoice you any additional costs or cancel your order if you are located in a regional area that is not covered by our regular courier services.

If your backdrop is to be returned for any reason (only if approved in writing by Oz Backdrops and Props) the buyer is solely responsible for the cost of return shipping. 

Returns Policy

Oz Backdrops & Props has a strict no returns & no refunds policy for the cirumstances listed below.
If you believe your backdrop is faulty please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and provide photos of the fault so that we may assess.

All our backdrops are custom printed to order specifically for you in the size and design that you choose, so no refunds will be made for order cancellations, change of mind or incorrect choice. This also applies to in stock backdrops.
All our backdrops pass a strict quality assessment before being packaged and dispatched.

Damage in Transit - Please note that if your shipment is damaged in ANY way you MUST inform us in writing within 24 hours of delivery so that we can lodge a claim with the transport company in instances of major damage. Please provide a minimum of 4 photos showing the damage to the packaging (including a clear photo of the label) as well as the goods.
If you have any questions about insurance, please contact us prior to purchasing.

Colour Variance

We use a colour spectrophotometer and calibrated printers to ensure that your backdrop is printed accurately and within strict colour parameters.
Every computer has different colour and resolution settings, therefore colours shown on your screen may vary slightly from the actual print depending on your settings. Computer monitors display colours in RGB mode whereas printers use CMYK colour output, so some minor variance may occur.
Some backdrop designs have shading which may not be appear strongly on screen but when printed at a larger size may become more visible. The lighting in which you view your backdrop may also have a large effect on the visible colour hues.

Our backdrops are designed to be able to be used in conjunction with flash photography, therefore the prints may lighten when used with flash.

Please note that we provide customer photos of backdrops in use on our website to show you the end results that you are able to achieve. Please note that the colours in these images may not reflect the original colour of the backdrop but are achieved through a variety of lighting and editing techniques.

Small Detail Not Recognised

Please note the backdrop will be printed a lot larger than what you see on our website, and more detail will be seen in person. Some backdrops contain details that are very small on screen, but become a little more visible when printed. These details are simply part of the image that create character, texture and shading.

Sizing

Please note that depending on which size backdrop you select, some cropping or stretching of the display image may occur. To confirm how this may affect your size selection please contact us prior to purchasing. With most of our designs, especially wood and patterns, we can print them smaller or larger depending on your preference. If no preference is stated at time of order it will be printed as per the display image.
Refunds and exchanges are not available if you purchase an incorrect size or if you are unhappy with the cropping/stretching of an image if you did not contact us prior to ordering.

Creasing

On occasion some backdrops may have some minor creases caused during shipping. Please follow our care instructions in the FAQ section to learn how to easily remove creases.
Backdrops over 8ft in length with a pole pocket attached must be rolled against the direction of the pole pocket in order to fit inside a shipping tube, which may cause some creasing to the pole pocket. Lay the backdrop flat and smooth out the creases before hanging. This is unavoidable as we cannot ship items longer than 250cm via courier.

Lighting

Our backdrops are designed to be used with both natural and studio lighting. While all of our backdrops are printed on matte vinyl material, some designs may be more sensitive to certain lighting, and we cannot guarantee that our darker designs will be glare free in all lighting scenarios. Ink saturation on darker prints requires softer lighting for optimal results. If this is a concern, we recommend purchasing lighter designs, and you are welcome to contact us first with any queries prior to purchasing.

When using studio lighting please be aware that you may need to adjust the intensity or placement of your lights so as to achieve the desired results from your backdrop. Fixed lighting in your studio as well as ambient lighting also need to be taken into account as they may affect your results.
A good knowledge of photographic lighting is helpful when determining the best setup for your individual requirements and equipment.

Imperfect Backdrops

On occasion we may sell imperfect or seconds backdrops, which are sold at a reduced price due to printing faults such as ink spots, ink runs or scuff marks. These imperfections are usually not visible when photographed, but in some instances may require some digital editing.
Due to constantly varying stock we are unable to provide images of the exact faults, therefore images included on product pages are of the original design. You are welcome to contact us prior to purchase to verify the exact fault.
All imperfect backdrops are advertised as such, and will not be accepted for returns or refunds due to their imperfections.

Discount Codes

Any discounts or free shipping offered on the website are available for Australian customers only, and are not valid in conjunction with any other offers or promotions. Discounts are not valid on Quad Combo products as these are already discounted. Any orders outside Australia which use a discount code will be cancelled or invoiced for the remaining balance.
Discounts such as "10% off for orders over $100" are based on your shopping cart sub-total, exclusive of tax and shipping.
Any Free Shipping offers are not valid for shipping to NT or some very remote regions in Australia. Please contact us prior to purchasing if you think you may be in these regions.
Free Shipping is applicable to one free shipment per order. Shipping fees will apply if multiple shipments are required, ie. for in stock as well as print to order backdrops.
Discount codes or special offers are not available with Afterpay or zipPay payments.

Gift Vouchers

Gift Vouchers are valid only for purchases on www.ozbackdropsandprops.com.au and must be redeemed within 12 months from date of purchase.
Gift Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Any leftover balance remains in credit in your online account.
